Social Studies Education

The integrated Social Studies program is designed to fully incorporate all aspects a teacher might encounter in a 7th-12th-grade setting. Social Studies courses paired with CSU’s well-rounded core curriculum, allow students to learn about concepts and disciplines within Economics, Anthropology, Sociology, and Political Sciences.

Throughout the program, the building blocks of professional knowledge and skills are aided by real world experience and thoughtful inquiry. Placement within the school setting for observation of secondary school students and related environments accompanies the course work culminating with supervised student teaching-- allowing for engagement and professional guidance.
