As the State of Ohio works to grow new industries in fields such as biomedical instrumentation, polymers, nanotechnology, advanced materials, and electronics, we must have high school graduates with an interest in and ability to contribute to these fields. By providing teachers with the necessary tools and knowledge to help develop science and mathematics competencies in their students, such graduates will indeed be available. Colleges and universities in Northeast Ohio are stepping up to this challenge through Partnering for Success, providing high-quality professional development programs in mathematics and science to teachers in the Northeast Ohio region. This partnership is committed to improving student learning and providing teachers with the appropriate tools and content knowledge to support this aim.
