The MSN/MBA program is designed to prepare nurses for careers in management and administration. This unique program offers graduates advanced knowledge, competencies, and skills in nursing of populations and a foundation for their growth into competent business managers. The graduate will have in-depth skills in demography, epidemiology, data analysis, evaluation research, survey research, data projections, cost-benefit analysis and the ability to apply nursing theory, business theory, ethics, cultural awareness and political strategies to design, implement, manage and evaluate health programs, departments, and facilities. Students are required to apply to both the School of Nursing and the James J. Nance College of Business Administration.
Students must meet all admission, course and exit requirements for the Master of Science in Nursing and the Master of Business Administration. A sample course sequence is as follows:

*The MSN/MBA is offered as a dual degree with the MBA program accepting nine hours of core MSN courses as elective credit and the MSN program accepting 10 hours of core MBA courses as elective credit. The program is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) International and the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
