Quality Urban Educators (QUE) is a partnership among the Cleveland State University's (CSU) College of Education and Human Services (COEHS) and the Cleveland Municipal School District (CMSD) to create a pipeline of new teachers that ranges from their recruitment through their preparation and induction, with a focus on cultural competence in urban schools.

Join us for this celebratory, educational event. Our two keynote speakers, Kay Toliver and Dr. Angela Calabrese Barton, will provide helpful insights and strategies for improving student achievement in urban schools. Our conference begins on Friday evening with a keynote address and dinner reception. Cleveland teachers and CSU faculty will facilitate break-out sessions and roundtable discussions on Saturday, spanning diverse topics such as: Standards-Based Instruction, Inclusion: Ramifications and Solutions, Classroom Management, Assessment that Works for You, Cultural Connections, and ESL. Please meet with your fellow teachers, student teachers and teacher educators to celebrate our mutual accomplishments as Quality Urban Educators and to continue to learn and grow together towards further excellence in our schools.
