Specialization in Educational Technology (33 credit hours)
The Master's Degree with a Specialization in Educational Technology is a 33 credit hour degree program. The Computer and Technology Endorsement is a 19 credit hour program that can be accomplished independently or as part of the 33 credit hour Master's program. For teachers who have an Ohio teaching certificate or license, earning this degree will also qualify them for the Computer and Technology Endorsement.
The Computer and Technology Endorsement Program prepares teachers to help students develop the knowledge skill and dispositions appropriate to the use of computers and technology.
The specialization coursework includes extensive hands-on experiences with a variety of computer and technology activities, requires the production of technology related curricular materials and addresses the societal context in which technology in education occurs. While much of the content is appropriate for the person serving as "technology coordinator" the primary focus of coursework is on the integration of technology in instruction.

Computer and Technology Teaching Endorsement (19 credit hours)
The Computer and Technology Teaching Endorsement prepares teachers to help their students develop the knowledge, skills, attitudes and values appropriate to the use of computers and technology within their personal and professional lives.
The coursework includes extensive hands-on activity with a wide variety of computer-based activities, requires the production of curricular materials in the area of technology and addresses the societal context in which this education is taking place. While much of the content is appropriate for persons serving as technology coordinators in a school setting emphasis is placed on the competencies needed by classroom teachers.
This program is for teachers who currently hold an Ohio Teaching certificate or license.
Completion of the Endorsement entitles the participants to apply to the State of Ohio for its Computer and Technology endorsement .
