Counseling, Administration, Supervision, and Adult Learning (CASAL)

Face to Face with a Holocaust Survivor

Holocaust survivors and their children have a number of special medical, psychological, social, and religious needs which create challenges in our health care systems. These challenges are particularly evident with regards to discharge planning, nursing, and at end of life. This program will provide contextual information about the Holocaust and Judaism and the rare opportunity to come face-to-face with a Holocaust survivor and hear their personal testimony. The program will conclude with a presentation from a social worker about psychological responses to trauma and victimhood.
