Program Overview

This Master's degree is an Ed.M. in Curriculum and Instruction with a specialization in Educational Research and Assessment. Note: This is the same program that can be found on CSU's online program page, and you can request more information and/or apply from there: CSU Online: EdM in Curriculum & Instruction, Educational Research and Assessment

Modality

This is a fully online Master's degree. You can complete it from anywhere in the world. You never have to set foot on campus. You are still welcome to make appointments for advising and office hours, to take place either in person or through Zoom.

Mini Credentials in Education

This Master's degree is designed to easily be paired with a Graduate Certificate in: 1) Data-Based Decision-Making, 2) Program Evaluation in Educational and Youth-Serving Organizations, or 3) Data Analytics in Education, without adding any additional credits to the Master's. Other graduate certificates in education can also be completed with this degree, such as Educational Technology, but may require additional credits.

Who is this degree for?

The Master's program is ideal for teachers and administrators who want to increase their ability to interpret classroom and schoolwide data, as well as for those who intend to pursue doctoral work or assessment or research positions in education. This degree does not require previous education experience and also does not lead to teaching certification.

How long will it take?

This Master's program is 30 credits, and can potentially be completed in one calendar year with full-time enrollment in fall, spring, and summer semesters, or can be completed at your own pace with either full- or part-time enrollment.

How much will it cost?

We have great news for out-of-state and international students who might have been deterred by the cost for out-of-state applicants. This is a fully online program, and now tuition for fully online programs at Cleveland State University has been reduced to be almost identical to tuition for in-state students! This means that CSU may cost less than your local state university, even if you do not live in Ohio. The tuition schedule can be found at this link:
