Applied Website Design Certificate Program 

Take your artistic talent to the digital level!

Tailored to the needs of adult learners, this certificate program has been designed by professionals who have extensive experience designing websites for organizations. You will learn to build creative websites that are aesthetically pleasing, along with gaining basic website functionality skills. Earn a Certificate in Applied Website Design by successfully completing eight required courses and two elective courses.

Computer Networking Certificate Program

If you've been working with PC's for some time, and now you want to learn networking skills, then this program is for you.

Earn a Certificate in Computer Networking by successfully completing seven required courses. These courses will provide you with networking theory, network hardware knowledge, and networking protocols used by a typical Information Technology professional.  These seven courses will provide you with a solid foundation to pursue certifications such as CompTIA Network+ or Cisco Certified Network Associate.

Database Systems

Employed extensively in a vast number of enterprises today--industry, engineering, science, medicine, government and elsewhere--database management systems are often at the heart of most software applications.  Many database management system products have been developed to meet these needs and are running on desktops, laptops, PDAs, minis, mid-range and mainframe computers.  The need for qualified professionals to manage these systems has never been greater.

Enrich your career by learning the principles and practices involved in designing, administering, maintaining and using shared databases.  The Database Systems Technologies Certificate is designed to provide both theory and practical knowledge in database design, database management, data retrieval, and reporting.   You’ll learn broad, general knowledge of database systems and concepts, along with, state-of-the-art practical skills needed by database systems professionals today.

Office Support Specialist Certificate Program

The Office Support Specialist Certificate Program is designed to maximize employment opportunities in office services. A high concentration of practical skill courses will prepare students to enter the workforce as a valuable asset to any business team.

Prerequisites: Word: Introduction or equivalent experience. Windows XP: Basic or equivalent experience.

Technical Project Management

The Certificate in Technical Project Management meets the need for a proven, practical approach to project management training. Combining the most recent advances in project management with the practical, "hands on' experiences of practicing project managers, the program offers a unique blend of the theory and application.   

Effective project management involves meeting deadlines, staying within budget, coordinating diverse groups of people and tasks, solving problems and achieving results. The Technical Project Management Certificate is designed to give professionals the tools needed to successfully manage any type of technical project.  

Based upon the industry standard, Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK®), developed by the Project Management Institute (PMI®), the curriculum covers in-depth the essential elements of initiating and completing a successful project, including the development of interpersonal skills to conduct work in the team environment inherent to modern projects.

Technical Writing

Developed for both the traditional technical writer, as well as for any professional responsible for designing, creating, testing, and maintaining documentation in the workplace, this certificate program offers a user-focused approach to technical communication. Through a series of interactive workshops, writers and documentation professionals will learn key strategies for becoming an audience-centered communicator. Earn a Certificate in Technical Writing by completing four required courses and two elective courses.

Web Development Certificate Program

Do computers and the Internet intrigue you? Are you the type of person that likes to know what goes on under the hood? If so, this might be the certificate program for you. Discover what's happening behind the text and graphics displayed by a web browser.

Customized to meet the needs of adult learners, the Web Development Certificate Program has been designed by professionals who have extensive experience developing, revamping and maintaining websites for organizations. You will learn to develop websites that are functionally and structurally sound, easy to navigate, painless to locate in a web search, and technically savvy. Earn a Certificate in Web Development by successfully completing nine required courses and two elective courses.

You may take one of the other programming languages or choose any two electives from the list below. For instance, if you take ASP.NET Introduction and ASP.NET Intermediate as required courses, you may take PHP or ColdFusion as an elective.
