Digital Photography: Introduction

Created for the amateur photographer, this course will give you the tips and techniques you need to take professional-quality photographs with your digital camera. You will examine the special features of your camera that allow you to delve deeper into the art of digital photography. Discuss tips and techniques for photo composition to the ideal macro setting for stunning nature photos. Learn about zoom features, changing picture quality, ISO settings, back and front lighting, depth of field, sequencing, and fill flash.  Also spend some time utilizing easy-to-use photo editing software that comes packaged with Microsoft Office and Windows.  This course is designed for basic ‘point and shoot’ camera users.  Bring your digital camera and its manual to class!

 

Prerequisite

Must have access to a digital camera to be used in class and know its basic operations, including accessing its menu to change settings and turning the flash on and off.
