Application Deadlines

The Intensive English Language Program (IELP) will help you prepare for the university or work. The classes will integrate the different language skills and give you practice. We can give I-20’s to request a student visa, but permanent residents and citizens are also welcome. 

• The application deadline for Spring 2010 is Monday, November 2, 2009.
• The application deadline for Spring 2010 second session is Monday, January 23, 2010.
• The application deadline for Summer 2010 is Monday, March 24, 2010.
• The application deadline for Fall 2010 is Monday, June 21, 2010.

IELP Costs (2009-2010 school year)

*Fees may change without notice. Room and Board is based on current information.  You may need to pay more if you choose a different option.  Room/board may be adjusted if living with family or a friend.  See Financial Responsibility on back of application.  On-campus housing rates can be found at www.csuohio.edu/reslife/

Health insurance is required.  If you are only here for spring, the insurance may decrease. 

Additional Financial Responsibility: If living off-campus, a student must still show a total of $10,436 for one semester or $20, 757 for two semesters, unless living with someone.  If you have any questions, please contact the Intensive English Language Program (IELP) at Cleveland State University at (216) 875-9669 or at esl@csuohio.edu .

Students with families should add the following amounts to their costs: Spouse: $3,000, 1st child: $1,500, 2nd child: $1,000.

Schedule

A student’s schedule will change depending on level/course and day. Most classes are offered Monday through Friday between 9am and 4pm. There are no classes on Friday afternoons.

Dates

Acceptance to the IELP does not guarantee acceptance to Cleveland State University. For information about admission to Cleveland State University, please go to http://www.csuohio.edu/internat/admissions.html.  Students who arrive at second session join classes already in session.
