Are you concerned about the quality of goods and services in your organization? Do you need to ensure that business operations are efficient and effective? This new certificate program in Operations Management will help you improve your organization’s management of resources, through more effective and efficient distribution of goods and services to customers.

You will become familiar with the concepts relating to the operations functions in both manufacturing and service organizations. You will learn about planning, organizing, and controlling resources in order to effectively and efficiently produce goods and provide service to meet the goals of the organization. We’ll use quantitative tools, decision-making processes, and case analysis to relate theory to practice. By the end of the day, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the basic concepts of Operations Management and how it relates to other parts of the enterprise
  • Develop strategies to gain and maintain a competitive advantage
  • Analyze a variety of problems and apply techniques to arrive at a solution
  • Develop group work skills for problem solving and presentation skills
