Speaking in public is often listed as the No. 1 fear – ranking ahead of even death. This means most people would rather be eulogized, than deliver their own eulogy. This course puts the fun in public speaking. To be successful, it takes more than talent and courage to present in front of a room full of people. Preparation, timing, delivery, connection with the audience, and an attention-grabbing use of humor will help your message be heard and remembered.

At the conclusion of this workshop participants will be able to:

• Identify and utilize effective delivery techniques
• Discuss how to prepare the message
• Recognize and overcome nervousness
• Identify two basic components of working with an audience
• Develop a short presentation
• Describe the concept of being "in the moment"
• Develop the Signature Story
• Recognize the power of good humor
• Demonstrate how to make an effective presentations
