Late Summer Blooming Perennials and Bulb Planting for Next Spring

Late summer and fall are often overlooked for perennial interest, but that can be remedied by reliable late blooming perennials and ornamental grasses.  Fall is also the perfect time to review your garden and prepare for spectacular spring color by planting spring blooming bulbs.  In this course you will learn about: site preparation and follow-up procedures; herbaceous perennials for late summer;  recommended ornamental grasses; texture, form and color combinations; spring blooming bulbs and planting techniques; and deer resistant perennials and bulbs.

Prerequisites: None

You'll learn to:

1) Discuss site preparation and follow-up procedures.
2) Identify herbaceous perennials for late summer.
3) Recommend ornamental grasses.
4) Discuss texture, form and color combinations.
5) Identify spring blooming bulbs.
6) Identify planting techniques for bulbs.
7) Discuss deer resistant perennials and bulbs.
