This course lays the groundwork for all Landscape Horticulture Certificate
courses.
You’ll examine how plants grow and interact with the
environment; how they are classified and identified, and basic operations to
develop a landscape site, includes soil preparation, grading, drainage and
planting. A field trip is included and will be arranged. If you are a
landscaper, groundskeeper, garden center operator, nurserymen, or homeowner,
this course will prepare you in landscape biology and its significance, soils
and nutrition, landscape installation and establishment, tree pruning, and
controlling insects and diseases.
