DOT 49 CFR Hazardous Materials Training

The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) requires specific training and certification for anyone who may handle, package, or prepare hazardous materials that are transported. DOT requirements state that training be done initially and that a refresher course be conducted every three years. For most people who handle packages with DOT labels, fill out shipping papers, or transport shipments that contain hazardous materials, our DOT Hazmat Training course is a necessity. Upon completion, participants will demonstrate the basic compliance skills needed to prepare, offer, and accept domestic shipments of hazardous materials products. The course focuses on modes of shipment common to the class participants.

This course complies with the Department of Transportation HM 126F and HM 215A Training for Safe Transportation of Hazardous Materials for General Awareness/Familiarization Training 172.704 (a)(1) and Safety Training 172.704(a)(3).
