Silverlight: Introduction

Microsoft Silverlight is an exciting new technology for creating exciting Rich Internet Applications (RIA). Silverlight is a free framework that works with all the features, languages and tools of the .NET framework. This hands-on one-day course introduces you to Silverlight

Topics Covered:

  • The concepts and design objectives behind Silverlight
  • How to install the Silverlight tools
  • Creating a “hello, world” page in Silverlight
  • Exploring Silverlight controls: textboxes, dropdowns, images, and others
  • Connecting a Silverlight application to a database
  • Controlling the style and look of your Silverlight application

Prerequisites: Must have some programming experience with Microsoft Visual Studio.
