This two-day introductory class shows you how to use the Microsoft ASP.NET tool set to develop web applications. We survey many of the features of Microsoft ASP.NET that make web development faster and more productive.

1) Explain the .NET initiative and its objectives.
2) Describe how the languages work in .NET.
3) Demonstrate how to create a web form.
4) Write code to respond to events on your web pages.
5) Add web controls to your pages.
6) Access your database from your ASP.NET application.
7) Recognize considerations in creating an ASP.NET application.

Prerequisite: Programming experience in at least one other language, preferably a web-based programming language; familiarity with HTML and database principles.
