What's New in Access 2007?

Quickly learn the newest enhancements in Microsoft Access 2007 and put them to work for you! This class is designed for the experienced Microsoft Access user who is new to Access 2007. Learn how to use the new features of the ribbon, office button, and quick access toolbar. Access 2007 provides templates with which you can easily create databases, tables, and fields. In addition, the new Layout view helps speed the design of forms and reports. Enhanced sorting and filtering tools allow you to quickly focus on the data that you need.

By the end of the day, participants will be able to:

  • Use and understand the Access 2007 user interface (Ribbon, Office Button, Quick Access Toolbar, Navigation Pane).
  • Create databases quickly from templates using the “Getting Started Window”.
  • Work with the three parts of the Ribbon, which are tabs, groups, and commands. Also, use dialog box launchers to see more options for a group.

  • Customize the quick access toolbar with your favorite commands.
  • Use the Office button for common commands such as new, open, save, and print.
