Word: Introduction

Gain valuable word processing skills. Learn the fundamentals of Microsoft Word 2007, the most popular word processing program. Create, edit, save, and print documents using Word. Enhance the look of your documents with character and paragraph formatting.  Create tables, insert clip art and add headers and footers to your documents. Use integrated spelling and grammar checks.

Prerequisite: Familiarity with Microsoft Windows.

You'll learn to:

1) Create, save, open, and close Word documents.
2) Navigate in Word and edit document text.
3) Select text, move and copy text, and use the Find and Replace commands.
4) Change the appearance of a document with character formats and paragraph formats. Set custom tabs and indents for paragraphs.
5) Create and edit tables in a Word document.
6) Control page layout by adding headers and footers, changing margins, and inserting page breaks.
7) Use the Spelling and Grammar checks, and preview and print a document.
8) Add graphics and clip art to a document.
