Extensible Markup Language (XML) is a very flexible
text format for storing and manipulating data. Although
it was originally designed for large-scale electronic
publishing, it is coming to play an important role in
data exchange on the Web, between databases, and
elsewhere. This course provides a working knowledge of
XML.
Prerequisite: HTML: Introduction or equivalent
experience.
You'll learn to:
1) Appraise the well-formedness of XML documents.
2) Define elements, entities, and attributes.
3) Create a Document Type Definition (DTD).
4) Examine the validity of XML documents.
5) Use Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) with XML.
6) Employ Extensible Stylesheet Language (XSL).
