Tim Yingling has roots in Agronomy. Raised on a farm in Stark Co Ohio he started his career on a track for farming by studying crop production at OSU’s Agricultural Technical Institute. Upon receiving his Associates degree and completing a research internship, he went on for Bachelor’s Degree at Main campus. During his studies at Ohio State his work experience was in the areas of seed research, seed certification, athletic field maintenance and turf supply sales.
To date his fifteen minutes of fame include painting the “BU” and the “EYES” in the south end zone of the horseshoe for the Ohio State Notre Dame football game in the fall of 1995 (Tim was attending class for the “CK”).
Upon graduation he started a sales career with a leading supplier to the green industry, where he continues to work today. Tim has instructed the "Selection and Care of Turfgrass" course since 2004.
