Dennis graduated with a BSEE degree from Univ of Akron and immediately built/tested 10 layer circuit boards for Magnavox in Ft Wayne IN. Came back to Ohio to write real-time code to control testing of transmissions for Ford, Caterpillar, etc. Hired by LTV Steel as a Process Control Engineer responsible for the DEC mini-computers. Helped LTV install a state-of-the-art network in 1994. Supervised the LTV Telecomm group (not VOIP at that time). Managed both the Network and Telecomm teams at American Steel & Wire and oversaw the conversion to digital PRI phone lines. As a Consultant, helped install a nationwide Frame Relay network for a major car rental company. Hired by the City of Cleveland IT group to implement upgrades to their Cisco network. Began teaching Cisco Networking classes in 2000. Cisco Certified Academy Instructor (CCAI), Cicso Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP 2004), passed written CCIE and had the wonderful experience of taking the CCIE Lab exam in Charlotte NC.
