Max Rieker serves as the Judicial Staff Attorney to Judge David T. Matia in the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas. He manages Judge Matia’s civil docket, including motion practice and opinion drafting. He conducts case management conferences and act as a mediator at settlement conferences and pretrial conferences. Max has managed all manner of civil cases including complex litigation, class actions, medical malpractice, legal malpractice, accounting malpractice, employment law, administrative law, and every conceivable type contract and tort case.

Previously Max was a Court Scheduler and later Probation Officer for the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas. He began teaching interpersonal communications and public speaking in 2007. He has been teaching LSAT Prep courses for Cleveland State University’s Continuing Education Division since Fall, 2008.

Max has a BA in History from John Carroll University and a JD from the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law at Cleveland state University. He is licensed to practice law in the State of Ohio.
