Thomas Hawn is currently evaluating the next chapter of his professional career. He is looking at areas of opportunity in Community/Neighborhood/Economic Development as well as positions in the corporate world involving past experiences in segmentation, marketing, product management as well as corporate diversity issues.

Prior to entering this chapter, Thomas was a Senior Vice President at KeyBank. Thomas had responsibility for creating strategies and programs for the Client Experience at Key Bank for the Mass Market, Emerging Cultural Markets and the Underbanked Consumer Segments . Prior to this he was responsible for product manage of Direct Consumer Credit Products. He also chaired Key Bank’s Gay/Lesbian/Bisexual/Transgender Employee Business Networking Group.

Prior to joining Key Bank in 1999, Thomas served as the Chief Financial Officer of Slavic Village Development (SVD). SVD, a member organization of Greater Cleveland Community Shares, is a Cleveland based neighborhood development organization committed improving the quality of life in the Slavic Village neighborhood of Cleveland through housing, community organizing and commercial revitalization.

Prior to becoming the CFO of Slavic Village Development, Thomas served as Board President of Broadway Area Housing Coalition, a predecessor organization of Slavic Village Development. During that time, Thomas held a variety of roles and responsibilities at the Progressive Corporation from 1982 through 1994.

Thomas previously served as the President of the Board of Directors of Greater Cleveland Community Shares. At this time, he is the Co-Chair of its Advisory Board. In addition, Thomas is a founding board member of Plexus (the Northeast Ohio LGBT chamber of commerce. He currently serves as Vice President of the Board. Thomas has a B.A. in Political Science and Computer Science from Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan.
