Environmental-Chemical

  • Manage a treatment, storage and disposal facility including the following service: remedial site cleaning, EPA investigation contractor, emergency response, fuel blending, consolidation, solidification, solvent reclamation, and a complete laboratory.

  • Ensure the compliance of all Federal, state and local environmental and safety regulations for a 300+ employee corporation located in several states and countries for over 10 years without any fines or penalties.  The responsibilities included: landfill, generator(s), TSDF, transporter, SPDES, DOT, air permits, OSHA, respirator, and emergency response requirements.

  • Formed a corporate-wide systematic procedure for maintaining and documenting hazardous and non-hazardous safety activities.

  • Created a material safety data sheet system for 10+ facilities with over 4000 materials listed with cross-references to vendors, emergency services and all employees.

  • Developed direct lines of communication and excellent rapport with many safety and environmental regulatory personnel at all levels of government.

  • Planned, developed and administered environmental programs, personnel, customer and vender relation, on a budget of $300,000+.

  • Devised training programs and trained workers in areas of hazardous wastes, hazardous materials, DOT requirements, emergency response, asbestos removal, PCB monitoring, respiratory control, employee/community right to know and many specific chemically or process related procedures.

  • Technical coordinator for several Superfund Clean-up sites.

  • Developed waste minimization policies/procedures, maximized waste disposal practices, and approved all chemicals for use in the company.

  • Corporation Emergency Response Coordinator for spills, releases, and discharge of any and all chemicals, including the applicable recording.


Chemical Testing and Analysis

Industrial

  • Performed various metallurgical analysis and tests to determine quality and classifications of metals and non-metals.

  • Conducted complex failure analysis of individual component parts, test equipment, and complex servo control and pneumatic products.

  • Proficient in the identification and analysis of solving process problems used to revise and improve production efficiency and product quality including procedural writing.

  • Devised and performed a wide variety of quality testing on industrial products ranging from solvents, oils, coolants and adhesives to electrical circuitry and explosives.

  • Expert qualifications in the testing of all waste-water effluents for either process or sanitary waters.  Operated and managed NYS permitted SPDES (waste treatment facility). 

  • Trained in industrial hygiene and have conducted a wide variety of personal monitoring tests.  Tasks include training programs, air contaminated testing, noise level testing, and overall exposures of OSHA hazards.


Medical 

  • Assembled and interpreted various bio-micro organisms tests of humane body fluids, dairy products and waters.

  • Assisted in the development and testing of the venereal disease analysis required by state health regulations.
