Jane Belkin, MSSA, LISW received her BA from the University of Michigan in 1963. She earned her Masters in Social Work from the School of Applied Social Sciences at Case Western Reserve University in 1978 and a post-Masters Certificate in Advanced Individual Therapy from Smith College in 1988. She received her training in adult psychoanalysis from the Cleveland Psychoanalytic Institute and graduated in 2003.
Since 1977, Mrs. Belkin has facilitated many types of groups in Northeast Ohio: consultation groups for professional and lay group facilitators in healthcare, psychodynamic therapy groups and ongoing and time-limited support groups in the areas of bereavement and life-transitions. She has taught Continuing Education courses at John Carroll University and MSASS as well as serving as Adjunct Faculty at MSASS and the Residency Training Program of the Department of Psychiatry at University Hospitals. Mrs. Belkin has also taught students in the Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Program of the Cleveland Psychoanalytic Center.
Mrs. Belkin has a private practice in psychoanalysis and psychotherapy of individuals and couples. She has a business called Working Through, LLC, which provides psychodynamic organizational consultation primarily in the area of healthcare. She is currently running a therapy group in her private practice entitled, “Looking Back, Looking In,” a group for individuals seeking to understand the effect of early life on their religious and spiritual development.
