Why Join the Co-op Program?
What are the Benefits?
Why Join the Co-op Program?

  • Pretest Your Academic and Career Choice: You actually get to work in the career field of your choice during school. Many students are not sure which profession will be most fulfilling to them. The Co-op work experience lets you see first-hand what certain careers are all about and helps you in selecting the right academic field.

  • Gain Work Experience: Through Co-op, you'll be able to solve the Catch-22 problem of No Experience = No Job. When you graduate, you'll have solid experience in your career field.

  • Earn Money: The majority of Co-op jobs are paid positions. In past years, co-op students have earned together as much as 9.3 million dollars. The exact salary is negotiated between you and your Co-op employer.

  • Gain Job Maturity: The Co-op experience helps you gain job confidence and gives you the opportunity to be a working professional before you graduate.

  • Become a More Valuable Employee: Co-op employers say that the most valuable employees they have are the ones who know the company. As a Co-op student, you'll be able to show a potential employer your interest in and knowledge of the company.
