Joyce Washington picture
Yutong Xin, Mandarin.

Yutong received her Ph.D. in Literature from the Beijing Language and Culture University. She comes to CIS from the Capital University of Economics and Business, at Beijing, China. Yutong has taught Chinese language to international students for more than ten years. This is her first year as Mandarin instructor for the Chinese Program of Confucius Institute of Cleveland State University and the Campus International School. Yutong loves Lake Erie and enjoys spending her spare time with her family on the beach.





Chrissy Zack
Chrissy Zack, Intervention Specialist.

Intervention Specialist. Christine earned her Bachelor's Degree in Special Education from Cleveland State University and a Master’s degree from Indiana Wesleyan University. A licensed Intervention Specialist she has been teaching in Cleveland since 2000. Christine has been married for 15 years, has three children and has traveled to China three times in the last four years.

Lei Zhou, Mandarin.

Lei Zhou is a Ph.D. candidate in educational policy and a visiting professor to Cleveland State University. She has a master's degree in Education, majored in Curriculum and Teaching Methodology. Lei Zhou received her bachelor degree of Arts in Teaching Chinese as a Second Language from Beijing Language and Culture University. In 2010, Ms. Lei Zhou was invited to K-12 schools associated with Michigan State to give lectures on Chinese language and culture. This is her first year at Campus International and will teach Mandarin here for 3 years. She is passionate about teaching and ready to adapt her 10 years Mandarin teaching experience to CIS Mandarin program
