Dean Benedetto

Dean BenedettoDean Benedetto graduated with his MBA in May 2017 and served as a member of the Dean's Diversity Council for the 206-2017 academic year. 

Dean is from the Cleveland area, having graduated from Cuyahoga Community College with a 4.0 GPA in May 2014 with Associate of Science and Associate of Arts degrees. He began attending Cleveland State University in August 2014 to major in accounting. Dean graduated in December 2015 with a 4.0 GPA, and immediately began his graduate program at Cleveland State University in January 2016. Upon graduation, Dean hopes to work in the accounting field in the Cleveland area and help make an impact on the lives of those in the area that he grew up in.

In addition to Dean’s academic commitments at Cleveland State University, he has been involved in Beta Alpha Psi and the Accounting Association for the past couple years. He is also a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, Phi Theta Kappa, and Tau Sigma National Honor Society. Dean is a student affiliate member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the Institute of Management Accountants.

Dean cares deeply about the accessibility of education to others, and has worked as an independent tutor to his peers and high school students, as well as a conversation partner for Cleveland State’s English as a Second Language program in 2015. These experiences have helped shape and define Dean’s goals that he intends to pursue in his future in regards to increasing diversity in educational attainment.
