On July 5, 2013, Cleveland State University APICS members, OSM students, and OSM faculty had the opportunity to learn and view one of the oldest ocean modes of transportation, “Tall Ships.” The CSU group attended the “Tall Ships Festival” in Cleveland, Ohio. The Cleveland Port was the first port in the United States to welcome the tall ships in 2013. The heritage of these majestic ships dates back to the 1800s. They are custom built and able to travel across the ocean.
The CSU group boarded various vessels, met ship crew members, and networked. APICS members also used the outing to welcome new members and officers.
