Dr. Oya Tukel, Dr. Jen-Yi Chen, and a group of Operations and Supply Chain Management students from CSU attended the "Ohio Conference on Freight" in Sandusky, Ohio, on September 12, 2013. The keynote speakers at the Ohio Conference on Freight addressed finance, government, and industry. Conference workshops focused on infrastructure and shale development, supply chain innovation, and freight studies. Other features during the event included a tour to Sierra Lobo, Inc. and learning about fuel cell powered vehicles and liquid hydrogen.
Renowned economist Dr. Jack Kleinhenz delivered the opening keynote and discussed national and regional economies. During this period, Dr. Kleinhenz also addressed near-term threats and opportunities in the current economic environment, and he shared his perspective for the near future.
The Sept. 12, 2013, Ohio Conference on Freight was a two-day event that convened approximately 260 professionals from the United States of America (17 different states), Canada, Denmark, and the Netherlands.
