In April 2012, Olga Nagdaseva, an undergraduate business student at the Monte Ahuja College of Business, received a prestigious award, presented by the Midwest Decision Sciences Institute (MWDSI).
Her academic paper, "Corporate Social Responsibility & Sustainability Reporting: Creating Value for Shareholders and Society" received Second Place in Student Paper Competition at the Grand Valley State University in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Olga's academic paper included research about corporate social responsibility practices, sustainability reporting, and a comparative study examining the corresponding share value reflected in the 30 corporations comprising the Dow Jones Industrial Average index.
Olga was the only undergraduate student participating in MWDSI, and competed against MBA and PhD students. This is a tremendous achievement for the Monte Ahuja College of Business as it is the first time any student from Cleveland State University won an award and was published by the Midwest Decision Sciences Institute (MWDSI).
Olga Nagdaseva is currently pursuing BA degree in Management and Labor Relations. She is scheduled to graduate in May 2012. Olga is exceptionally accomplished academically and consistently an honor student. Olga's passion for Human Resources, Sustainability, and exceptional leadership skills led to her continuous involvement and leadership at the Monte Ahuja College of Business.
Olga was recently selected by the Cleveland State University Monte Ahuja College of Business as a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, the AACSB International Business Honor Society. She currently serves as an officer of two student organizations at Cleveland State: Secretary of the Society for Human Resource Management and the President of Net Impact. Olga was recently represented the student body at the formal dedication for the new Monte Ahuja College of Business, Crain's Cleveland Business Emerald Awards, Monte Ahuja College of Business Corporate Sustainability Roundtable, Net Impact National Conference, Monte Ahuja College of Business Re-Accreditation, and Entrepreneurship Immersion Week.
