Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) Merit Award Demonstrates Excellence and Achievement
The Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) has awarded a 2014-2015 Honorable Mention Award designation to the Cleveland State University SHRM student chapter for providing exceptional growth and development opportunities to its student chapter members.
The Cleveland State University SHRM Student Chapter received the award based on the number of activities they completed during the merit award cycle, which ran from April 1, 2014 to March 21, 2015. Activities included an outreach program assisting veterans, resume workshops and business professional information night to name a few.
“SHRM is pleased to announce the Cleveland State University Chapter as one of our 2014-2015 Student Chapter Merit Award winners. Led by an inspiring and dedicated group of student volunteers and chapter advisors, their achievements go above and beyond their everyday academic and work commitments,” said Susan Post, Divisional Director, East and lead for SHRM’s Student Programs. “The future of HR shines bright knowing these students are among those leading the way.”
“We are very proud of the students,” said Tracy Porter, faculty advisor for the SHRM Student Chapter. “The students members organize the activities and it reinforces the devotion that our students have for their future profession.”
