Beginning Fall 2014, the MLR Department will officially become the Department of Management. All course prefixes have been changed from MLR to MGT so when you look up courses at CampusNet, please choose "Management" to get to our course lists.
The Department of Management is committed to excellence in research and teaching. We offer a variety of courses in management, human resources, labor relations, and health care management that lead to:
|Bachelor of Business Administration in Management and Labor Relations||Minor in Management and Labor Relations|
Our SHRM students developed their own newsletter and this is the first edition.
Congratulations to Dr. Tracy Porter who was announced as the winner of the HR Student Advisor Award for her work as faculty advisor to our student SHRM chapter. To add to our CSU riches, the HR Student of the year winner is Vernon Kellogg. The HR Awards recognize Northeast Ohio HR professionals who have demonstrated excellence in the field of human resource management. Their achievements and unique skills show they are dedicated to improving themselves and their organizations. The awards honor all levels of HR practitioners, from individuals in local Society of Human Resources Management student chapters to HR executives.
The awards are co-hosted by Employers Resource Council and Cleveland Society for Human Resource Management. Each award category is judged by an independent panel of distinguished representatives from the local HR community.
Congratulations to both!
MLRHR students are required to take the Human Resource Certification Institute’s practice assessment as an exit exam within their last semester of study. The assessment provides feedback concerning readiness to take the actual Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification exam. [Read More
