Thomas Swidarski is president and chief executive officer of Diebold, Inc. In his role as CEO, he has built and focused the Diebold leadership team and its employees on five key priorities: increasing customer loyalty, improving product and service quality, strengthening the company’s supply chain, enhancing communications and teamwork, and rebuilding long-term profitability. Prior to becoming the CEO, Swidarski served as president and chief operating officer. He was elected to Diebold’s board of directors in 2005. Prior to joining Diebold in 1996, Swidarski held various positions in his 16 years in the financial industry.

Swidarski holds an MBA from Cleveland State University, and a BBA from the University of Dayton. He is on a number of boards within the financial industry and he is actively involved in the local community.
