Executive Vice President; Medical Mutual
Joseph C. Krysh is Executive Vice President and Executive Assistant to the President for Medical Mutual, the oldest and largest health insurance Company in Ohio. He oversees Claims & Customer Service, Care Management, Facilities & Administration and Human Resources.
Mr. Krysh joined Medical Mutual in March 2003 from the Cleveland office of CGI Management Consultants, Inc., an international consultancy that acquired IMRglobal and ORION Consulting, of which he was one of the founders. His area of expertise is in the health insurance and hospital industries, having worked with a number of health insurance companies during his consulting career, including Medical Mutual.
Mr. Krysh received both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Business Administration from Cleveland State University. He is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive 2004-) and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Healthcare Financial Managers Association. Mr. Krysh is a member of the Executive Board and Members-At-Large of the Greater Cleveland Council Boy Scouts of America, Business Volunteers Unlimited Board, Downtown Cleveland Partnership Board of Trustees, Cleveland State University's Monte Ahuja College of Business Visiting Committee and a member of the 2005 Leadership Cleveland Class.
From 1995 to 2001, Mr. Krysh was involved with the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Ohio and Kentucky, an international organization granting wishes to children with life-threatening illnesses. He supported Make-A-Wish in several capacities throughout his tenure, having served as Chairman of both the Board of Trustees and Finance Committee, as well as Treasurer. Mr. Krysh is also a former Treasurer and Co-Chairman of the Governance Committee for the “Far West Center,” a not-for-profit mental health agency on the campus of St. John Westshore Hospital, serving from 1995 until 2000.
A resident of Westlake, Mr. Krysh lives with his wife, Joanne, and their two children.
