Congratulations to our undergraduate Operations & Supply Chain Management (OSM) team who recently took third place in the 2014 Case Competition hosted by the Association for Operations Management (APICS) Mid-Atlantic District. The team of Anthony Burch, Allen Dobranic, Ronald Spring, and Kelly Wasserman are members of the APICS CSU student chapter, advised by OSM Professor Jen-Yi Chen. Twelve teams from 11 universities attended the competition and worked on a business case related to sustainable operations.
Congratulations to our Finance team who finished a close second in the local Certified Financial Analyst (CFA) Research Challenge. The challenge consisted of a research valuation report and a presentation of that report to local industry veterans. The local company analyzed was Nordson. The team members were Samuel Ruprecht, Nikolay Todorov, and Todd Winchell. Roger Klee was the faculty advisor and Joe Gilbert (not pictured) was the industry mentor.
Lauren Presler, MBA student and President of the Cleveland State Net Impact Chapter, participated in the WalMart Better Living Business Plan Challenge- Regional Competition on February 28, 2014. Net Impact, a leading global organization that promotes sustainability and corporate social responsibility, and WalMart co-sponsored the event. The competition was held at the University of Louisville College of Business and six schools competed by presenting their business plans to a panel of judges. Read More »
