Statement

A significant part of the mission of Zygote Press is to enable artists to produce fine art prints within an atmosphere of collective interchange. It is in this spirit that the Dresden Residency Exchange was created. Zygote Press of Cleveland, Ohio and Die Grafikwerkstatt in Dresden, Germany exchange and host 2 guest artists each year. Since the first four artists came to live and work in each others’ respective cities and studios in 1998, this project has continued to develop and grow into a flagship program for both the city of Dresden and the State of Ohio.
