University is proud to have our first solo faculty exhibition highlight
the work of Marvin Jones. Having created an impressive and widely
varied body of excellent work in the last 25 years, Marvin is one of the
most prolific, consistently productive artists in Cleveland. Though completely
intolerent of pretension, Marvin Jones approaches art as a deeply intellectual
exercise. The work that Marvin has produced in the last quarter-century
reflects his view of the world -- a world that is funny, tragic, beautiful,
absurd, chaotic, and subtle. |
