"An exhibition of contemporary art from Cuba. Proyecto Horizontal is the name of a group of young, independent artists living in Cuba today. The show is curated by Augusto Bordelois who is one of the featured artists and spokesperson for the group. Augusto Bordelois will be in Cleveland for the duration of the exhibition as a guest of the University. Signor Bordelois will lecture on Friday, September 24,1999 from 4:00-6:00p.m. in the Gallery about the group, the situation for artists in Cuba as well as the exhibition in general. In addition he will participate in a variety of programs presented by the Office of Minority Affairs & Community Relations as part of Hispanic Awareness Week."
