To our Alumni and Friends:
What a year this has been! Cleveland State celebrated its 50th anniversary and launched its first-ever comprehensive fundraising campaign to take the University and its students into the next half-century and beyond.
ENGAGE: The Campaign for Cleveland State University seeks to raise $100 million to support student success and expand the many initiatives we already have in place to help our students stay in school, graduate and use their knowledge and skills to succeed in their careers and in their lives.
The campaign is focused on providing merit and need-based scholarships for students across all fields of study, as well as for student-athletes, and on expanding and strengthening workforce and career preparedness initiatives, such as co-ops and internships, for emerging graduates.
Simply put, the campaign will provide much-needed private dollars to help teach, mentor and impact the lives of students who are the future of Northeast Ohio.
CSU is fortunate to have Monte Ahuja, chairman and chief executive officer of MURA Holdings LLC, and Don Washkewicz, chairman of Parker Hannifin Corporation, as co-chairs of the campaign. Both Monte and Don are proud CSU alumni and generous philanthropists who credit their education for their successful careers.
We're also fortunate to have you, our loyal alumni and friends. Thanks to you and your generosity, CSU has enjoyed two consecutive banner years for fundraising and we couldn't be more appreciative.
ENGAGE: The Campaign for Cleveland State University is an exciting kickoff to an exciting future. We look forward to making it three banner years in a row through your continuing support and partnership.
Ronald M. Berkman
