In this photo: Men's basketball takes on Vermont in the opening round of the National Invitation Tournament, ultimately winning 63-60 and advancing to the second round against the College of Charleston, where the team fell 64-56, finishing one of its most exciting seasons. This past weekend, women's basketball advanced to the quarterfinals of the Women's Basketball Invitational against Chicago State, but suffered a 68-50 loss, concluding the season at 21-12 overall, the second most wins in school history and just the second 20 win season at CSU.

With the 35th Cleveland International Film Festival's opening night tomorrow, we caught up with the fest's artistic director Bill Guentzler, BA '99, to find out a bit more about what it takes to host one of the city's biggest events. Read more here.

CSU Names Bank President as Chief Finance Officer

Since moving to Cleveland, Stephanie McHenry has served as senior director of minority business development for the Greater Cleveland Growth Association and was executive director of the Northern Ohio Minority Business Council. She was named on the "40 under 40" lists in both Crain's Cleveland Business and Kaleidoscope Magazine. Read more here.

New Law School Dean

CSU has named Craig M. Boise to dean of the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law. "Craig has published extensively and is well respected for his research in money laundering and offshore banking practices," President Ronald Berkman said. "He brings an intellectual approach to law that clearly stands out among his peers." Read more here.

Volunteers Needed

CSU is seeking alumni volunteers for the first University Open House on Saturday, April 2. This special all-day event will showcase CSU to the community, alumni, donors, admitted and prospective students and their families. Volunteers will assist with various activities and are needed to fill time slots throughout the day.
