Distinguished Student Contest

CONTEST
The Cleveland State University Alumni Association is looking for one Cleveland State University student to represent the student body at the 22nd annual Distinguished Alumni Awards on October 12, 2012 as a guest of the alumni association.

What qualities does the ideal 'distinguished' CSU student possess to you? Does this student display exceptional behavior around campus? Volunteer their time to help others? Act as a mentor for other students? We want to know who our most distinguished students are on campus.

NOMINATIONS
Nominate one student to receive the 2012 Distinguished Student Award:

  1. Send us a digital photograph of the student you are nominating to win the contest. The photo must be in JPG or PNG format.
  2. Tell us in 250 words or less why he/she deserves to attend the 2012 Distinguished Alumni Awards as our most distinguished CSU student.

Rules: one entry per student. Winner must be a current, enrolled Cleveland State University student in good standing with a 3.0 GPA or above.

Nomination period: Saturday, September 4th – Friday, September 14th, 2012 (duration of 11 days)

VOTING
The contest consists of one (1) round of evaluation. The photos will be added to the Cleveland State University Alumni Association Facebook Page in a separate photo album titled, "Distinguished Student Contest." Fans of the Cleveland State University Alumni Association Page will vote on their favorite distinguished student by clicking "Like" on the photo. Comments on the entries are encouraged, but will not be counted as a vote.

Voting period: Monday, September 17th – Thursday, September 27th (duration of 11 days)

GRAND PRIZE
The winner will be announced on Friday, September 28th and will receive complimentary admission for him/her and a guest to the 2012 Distinguished Alumni Awards at the Wolstein Center on October 12, 2012 at 5:45 PM. The ticket includes valet parking and admission in to the Reception, Dinner, and Awards Program. Prize value: $200.
