Mike DeBose, BA '77
Representative Mike DeBose, a 1977 graduate in mass communications, has deep roots in the City of Cleveland. Before he made his way to Congress, he was a planning manager and PFO inspector for the Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority and building and grounds superintendent with Cuyahoga County Development Sanitary Engineering. He founded the Cleveland School of the Arts PTA, served on the Cleveland School Board and the Lee Harvard Community Association, and was president of the Holly Hill Street Club.
As a state representative, he serves as Chair of the Ohio House Faith Based Initiatives Committee and as a member of the Aging and Disability Services, Economic Development and Education Committees and was instrumental in helping establish Ohio's Amber Alert system .
