The best thing about Cleveland State University is its big city downtown campus in the heart of the real business world. I think the education I am receiving from CSU has prepared me to compete in the global business world in which we live. Being a captain for the women’s swim team gives me a chance to enhance my leadership talents and behavioral skills while interacting with the team.

Major: Communications

The School of Communication at CSU offers an outstanding communication program both at the graduate and undergraduate level and is ranked nationally among all American universities. As a graduate student I’m lucky to be in such an invigorating academic environment, where each Professor encourages and  helps all students to participate in research projects and prestigious international conferences.

Home Town: Lund, Sweden
Major: Marketing and International Business

I transferred to Cleveland State University from Lund University in Sweden and the staff at CSU made the process easy. The best thing about CSU is that it offers many valuable opportunities to learn outside the classroom. The leadership and interview skills I have learned will benefit me greatly in whatever my career choice may be after graduation. CSU has taught me how to be independent and resourceful, and I’m now very well prepared for whatever life throws at me after graduation.

Major: International Business

As an International Business student, I believe CSU is a great place to be. I am extremely happy that I chose CSU from the start as I am getting the full U.S. university experience, which will help me become a well-prepared professional in the real world. I began my freshman year as a student assistant working in the Office of International Admissions while taking class in the University. This experience allowed me to gain experience that relates to my major. I found helping international students like me was great fun and it is a pleasure to see more international students from all over the world enrolling for classes at CSU.

Major: Graduate MBA

I spent four years at Cleveland State University. I completed my Bachelors of Business in International Business and then earned an MBA with a concentration in marketing. The Ahuja College of Business has some outstanding programs and I learned more than just textbook material. I had a chance to experience real life lessons. There are many international students at CSU, which gives the University a global feel and makes for a very welcoming environment.

Levent
Graduate Student
Home Town: Istanbul, Turkey
Major: Industrial Engineering

Cleveland State University’s metropolitan campus gives students a chance to learn and network down the street from the business world. There are a lot of internships available and the research happening on campus with various professors is exciting. The Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering department is absolutely what I was looking for. The International Office helped me adjust to the culture and life here and my professors are really helpful and knowledgeable.
