Writing Groups & Workshops

The Writing Center

Workshops and group meetings will focus on specific writing strategies such as organization, paragraphing, and proofreading. In workshops and writing groups, leaders will be direct the group through specific material; to benefit from these sessions, you will need to have your own writing on hand so that you can apply the principles that are discussed to it. During these sessions, you will learn to read your own and other's papers critically, sort of the way teachers do; you will gain experience as an editor and also get detailed commentary on your own writing.
