Welcome to the Success in Math web site. This site answers the following questions: Which institutions in northeast Ohio are involved in the Success in Math program (a Choose Ohio 1st scholarship program), what do they hope to accomplish and how?
Six northeastern Ohio institutions of higher education entered into a partnership to help bridge the gap in mathematics preparation between high school and college. The collaborating institutions are Cleveland State University, Case Western Reserve University, Cuyahoga Community College, Kent State University, the University of Akron and Youngstown State University. Each institution will be offering 20 scholarships each year for the next four years to students interested in pursuing a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) major. The scholarships are funded by the State of Ohio and the criteria for the awarding of the scholarships varies among the six institutions. For additional details on how to apply, please follow the links to each institution's site that are located in the column to the right.
