Academic organization: Eight Colleges, including Business Administration, Education and Human Services, Engineering, Law, Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, Science, Urban Affairs, and Graduate Studies. The Division of Continuing Education offers noncredit courses to thousands of students each year. Project 60/Active Minds offers free classes to senior citizens.

Academic programs: More than 1,000 courses support 200 major fields of study at the undergraduate and graduate levels, as well as professional certificate and continuing education programs. The University also offers an Honors Program to academically talented and highly motivated students.

Athletics: NCAA Division I Horizon League and Eastern Wrestling League. 17 varsity sports.

Student activities: More than 150 honorary, professional, cultural and social organizations.

Student profile: 57 percent women, 43 percent men. Approximately 28 percent minorities, of which 18 percent is African American. More than 800 international students. Average age 25. CSU students represent 32 states and 75 countries. About one-third are in graduate school or law school. More than half are part-time students and transfer students – CSU’s junior class is consistently larger than its freshman class.
