2022 - 2023 REFUND & EXCHANGE POLICY

Policy Statement

A patron who purchases a prepaid parking permit and subsequently withdraws from classes, ceases employment at CSU for any reason, or would like to exchange their permit is required to complete a permit return formA $10 administrative fee* will be deducted from all exchanges and refund amounts. Returned permits are not eligible for repurchase and permits are not held during the return/exchange process. If a permit is needed at a later time or you would like a different permit, you may select from the remaining available permits online.  

In order to control the use of CSU owned and operated parking spaces, current students and employees are permitted to use CSU Prepaid permits to park on campus. Individuals found parking on campus who are not the registered owner of the permit, have withdrawn from courses, or are no longer employed by CSU will have the ID confiscated. Under these conditions the permit balance is non-refundable. These individuals may also be subject to fines and vehicle immobilization/towing.

No refund or return/exchange request will be granted unless the police report is completed within the refund period and all outstanding fines and fees are paid in full.  The date the requested documentation is submitted will determine the refund amount. In accordance with University policy, all or part of a refund may be used to pay off a parking or university account balance.

 

Student Semester Refund & Exchange

A $10 administrative fee* will be deducted from all refunds and exchanges.

The proration of all semester permits will begin on the first Monday of a new term. Student refunds are submitted by the Parking Department to the Office of Treasury Services within 10 business days of the refund request date. Semester permit refund requests may be submitted through the last withdrawal date, as is defined in the University’s Official Academic Calendar. Refund requests submitted after the withdrawal date must be approved by the Director of Parking and Transportation Services.

Students wishing to purchase another type of permit may only do so after the previously purchased permit is fully returned. The return and request for exchange process may take up to five business days. Specific permits or preferred permits are not held during this process.  The student is required to log into the Parking Portal and may select from the remaining available permits.

 

Faculty/Staff Refund & Exchange Policy

Annual Permit Refund Schedule

A $10 administrative* fee will be deducted from annual permit refund amounts.

Annual permits are pro-rated starting on Aug. 2nd. Pro-rated refunds are based on the return date and the balance paid on the permit. Refunds will be processed through Treasury Services.

Faculty/Staff Semester Permit Schedule

A $10 administrative* fee will be deducted from semester permit refund amounts.
